Steve Gillmor rarely spends links (even in his contribution to the actual Nick-Carr-Dispute). Michael Arrington calls Nicholas Carr an asshole but spends him a link. There really a strange caste at the top of the blog hierarchy.
Getting a link from them is a (mostly) unfulfilled dream of the most B, C, D-blogger.
